Synopsis

Reckless dream is a personal documentary that investigates the motivations of young people, retired bullfighters and through dream-like images of an apprentice bullfighter- my grand uncle: Antonio Carpio ‘El Maestro’ who was killed in Astorga by a goring in the femoral artery at the beginning of the XX century – for wanting to become bullfighters and their wish to achieve great deeds, deeds that turn them into captive heroes, prisoners of their own dream which leads them with pleasure to death before the concept of the “hero”, that they have so many times dreamed of, vanishes.
